Dolphin Beach, Jeffrey's Bay

Jeffrey's Bay in the Eastern Cape of South Africa is surfers' paradise, attracting the world's top surfers all keen to surf at the greatest spot in Africa, Supertubes, which is located on Dolphin Beach.

Dolphin Beach is a beautiful wide sandy beach that stretches all the way to Gamtoos River and beyond. It's popular amongst families and holidaymakers, due to its Blue Flag status and excellent nearby facilities, which include the Jeffrey's Bay Shell Museum, a public information kiosk and a number of restaurants and shops.

There's also an amazing reef to snorkel on calm days.

Local attractions include the Dolphin Park Entertainment Centre, which offers an 18-Hole Putt-Putt course, waterslides and quad bike riding

If visiting Jeffrey's Bay, make sure to try out some of the deliciously fresh calamari sold at many of the local restaurants and pubs. One of the best places to enjoy Jeffrey's Bay's fresh seafood is at Kitchen Window, an organic restaurant with a magnificent sea view.
