First Car Rental honours dedicated employees
Awards given to employees who have achieved milestones of 1, 3, 5, 8, 10 and 15 years of service.
August 2015 - First Car Rental held its annual employee Service Awards in July 2015. The purpose of the programme is to strengthen corporate employee engagement through recognising and honouring the commitment and dedication of long-term employees, while also promoting long-standing careers within First Car Rental nationwide.
Special mention goes to the 17 employees who have been with First Car Rental for 15 years, having joined the company in 2000 when it had only been in operation for a year.
There are very few companies that are able to celebrate this many long-service staff and management thank these steadfast and dedicated staff for the many years they have given so selflessly to First Car Rental.
These employees have played a vital role in shaping First Car Rental into the top South Africa car hire company it is today.
They are: Alpheus Ledwaba, Henry Tshehla, Elmarie Beukes, Ziaphora Mazibuko, Shaun Durieux, Themba Mtetwa, Maureen Pakkies, Bruce Troeberg (Executive Head of Finance), Cookie Mathurapersad, Hari Beemsen, Russel McKay (General Manager - Portfolio: Fleet, Finance and Damage), Jenny Armstrong, Colleen Ault, Bruce Barritt (Managing Director), Cindy McWilliams, Claudette Weber and Michael Kalipa.
Says Melissa Nortje, Executive Head of Strategy, Development and Marketing, "Congratulations to all our loyal staff on their years of service to First Car Rental. We are committed to creating an environment that gives all employees opportunities to fully optimise their potential. These Service Awards recognise that our employees are the company's greatest asset."
